The Fever Series 5-Book Bundle: Darkfever, Bloodfever, Faefever, Dreamfever, Shadowfever
I've reviewed and rated all the books individually (see-bellow) but I guess as a whole I'd have to rate the series 4-stars. The first book kind of starts off rough, you definitely have to get over the initial set up with these books. The protagonist 'Mac' goes through an incredible evolution throughout the series. In the first books she's a spoiled, shallow Barbie girl, and I really struggled with author Karen Marie Moning's constant descriptions about how perfect Mac looked, how sexy her outfits were and how perfect her life...and her hair were. By the end of book one however, she's already lost some of her innocence and she's shed her blinders. Some of her future awesomeness was showing and I knew I'd have to read more. By book 3, I was hooked. That was a 4-star book and I was now living and breathing this imaginative and terrifying world KMM created. Filled with kick-ass fairies (that would set Tinkerbell on fire with one look), sexy men, magic and mayhem and set in beautiful Ireland; the Fever World leaves you panting for more. Books 4 and 5 were explosive! Book 4 was explosive in a deadly sexy way and book 5 was explosive in an plot twist and turn until your head explodes kind of way. At the end I knew one thing: I was hooked. I had to stop myself from immediately jumping in again and re-reading the story. It was that good. Check out my individual reviews here:
